How we handle the details you send us, under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are

What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, email address and message, and, if you choose to give them, your company, phone or WhatsApp number, division and enquiry type. We do not ask for identity numbers, banking details or any special personal information, so please don't include them.
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Any visit statistics we keep are anonymous and do not identify you.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry and, if you become a customer or partner, to carry on that conversation. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
How it is handled
- When you send the form, your enquiry is delivered by email to Bahati's own mailbox. The website itself does not keep a copy.
- The form is processed by Amazon Web Services in London, United Kingdom. The UK has data-protection law that offers protection comparable to POPIA.
- To stop abuse, we keep a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your internet address for no more than two hours. We never store your actual internet address.
- Technical logs do not contain your name, email address or message, and they are deleted after 30 days.
Ask Bahati (website assistant)
Ask Bahati is an AI assistant that answers questions from this website's content. Your questions are sent to Amazon Web Services (AWS Lambda in London and Amazon Bedrock in the European Union) to produce an answer, and are not stored by us or used to train the model. The conversation is kept only in your browser tab until you close it or choose Clear chat. The UK and EU have data-protection laws substantially similar to POPIA. Please don't share personal or banking details in the chat. If you choose to send your question as an enquiry, it is handled as an enquiry email (see above); if you choose WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own terms apply.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept in Bahati's mailbox for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any business that follows, and then deleted in line with our record-keeping obligations.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@beholdings.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Payment safety
Bahati never publishes bank details on this website and will never change its banking details by email alone. Before making any payment, confirm our details with us by phone.
